The Brotherhood of the Brotherhood of the Blood, has been celebrating the Passion since the early 16th century, when it was founded by the guilds that repopulated the Jewish Quarters after the expulsion of the Jews, by the Catholic Monarchs in 1492.

Of this brotherhood, which is responsible for the celebration of the rites and processions of Holy Week Saguntina, there is no news of how the celebrations were until D. Basilio Sebastian Castellanos y Losada tells us in his work Spanish customs, as it was the Good Friday procession of 1847.

Subsequently and because the theatrical performances that are held from the night of Holy Thursday until the afternoon of Good Friday are disappearing; they are reorganized, presenting new statutes dated 1878 and which lasted until 1975.

But although the Brotherhood is governed by this regulation, the acts undergo modifications, as a result of the Spanish Civil War of 1936.

In 1975, the social changes generated the modification and updating of the 1878 statutes, and thus a new text was agreed that was approved by the Archbishopric of Valencia on February 25, 1977.

Subsequent to this date and due to the new social changes of democracy, articles are modified, and with the desire to cover celebrations throughout Holy Week, new acts arise, which must be organized, so the Board of Directors proposes a regulation of public events or Solemn of the Brotherhood, which is approved on March 20, 1994.

There are thus two documents in the Brotherhood; Statutes and Regulations of Public Acts or Solemn of the Brotherhood.
