At seven in the afternoon the stage will be the Plaza de la Trinidad, an urban space where once, until 1933, the Trinitarian convent built in 1275 was located. There, the Secretary of the Brotherhood, climbed on a stone, which was previously in the convent, will pass list to all the brothers who must participate in the Holy Burial. Then, in formation, they will go along the Camino Real towards the Plaza Mayor and, from here, to the Chapel of the Blood, from where, at eight in the afternoon, the Holy Burial will begin.

The brothers arrive to the Chapel of the Blood. The order of the procession is organized. At the beginning everything is nerves on the part of the “fixers”, of the governing board of the brotherhood and even for the “mayoralía” of the year, since it is in danger of carrying out its mission, its responsibility to make possible the celebration of the Holy Burial.

The procession is already organized and the march begins. The bugler announcing the departure of each of the images is ready. In front, there are the “Verónicas”, purple banners, a symbol of spiritual assistance in the last moments of the brothers, the old mutual aid and, with their vertical stick, in front of all the Holy Face, will announce the arrival of the Holy Burial.

The brothers advance slowly, stopping the march continuously, meanwhile they go out the images. New stops to accommodate the progress of the other images, while listening, almost heavy, the drum of the “saions”. Once the first images is on the street, the “The entry of Jesus into Jerusalem”, the other images will follow, while the “fixers” will go up and down organizing the brothers, making brief stops. And as if anchored in time, the figure of the “Jew” who shouted “Pure Blood of Jesus Christ” will ask for an economic contribution for the support of the Chapel. To each donation he will deliver the traditional “caramelet”, a treat that the children, and not so children, will also claim to the brothers, who silently witness the passage of the pious entourage.

The other images follow “The entry of Jesus into Jerusalem”; the Holy Supper, the Prayer in the Garden, the Kiss of Judas, the Flagellation of the Lord, the EcceHomo, the “Nazareno”, the Veronica, the Holy Christ of the Good Peace, the Descent of the Lord of the Cross, the “Dolorosa”, the “Soledad”, the Holy Sepulchre and finally, “Vera Cruz”, the highest teacher of Christianity.

The procession of the Holy Burial, after more than four hours of march, begins its return to the Chapel of the Blood accompanied by the harmonious roll of the drums of the bands of bugles and drums, standing out, as if it had taken over the silence, the drum of the “saions”, in the end, after Vera Cruz, the music band of the Musical Society “Lira Saguntina”.
