The Brotherhood of the Blood betrays us in its clothing, the traditional black “vesta”, which with its sobriety celebrates and commemorates the passion and death of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
The “vesta” up to the feet, of a single piece of black color composed by the top, with front opening with a black velvet band at the opening; collar and sleeves with white trim, at the bottom a skirt up to the black feet. In its rear part a tail of the same black fabric, approximately 3 meters, remains folded in all acts except for Good Friday in the procession of the Holy Burial.
They also make up the clothing, the black hood of fabric that covers the face, black belt (leather or embroidered velvet) on which hangs a rosary, pants, shoes, socks and black gloves, medal with the image of Ecce Homo and purple cord for the cofrades, the medal with the Holy Sepulchre and black cord for the mayorales, and the cross with black cord for the clavarios. The Board of Directors carries each of its components the corresponding medal (depending on the cofrade, mayoral or clavario) with the golden cord, the President being the gold and black cord.
