Affectionately known in Sagunto as the “Nazareno”, sculptor was D.Francisco Sanchis Senent, from Benimaclet, a nearby town, the original contract said: Image to dress carved in wood and the ends with pear wood, of round cross 1.70 size in meters, and “contreras” decorated in fine gold.
