Popurlarly known as “Los Azotes” is the work of the valencian imager D.Vicente Rodilla ZanÛn, who sculpted it in 1947.

We can highlight the attitude of the faces of the characters; while Jesus Christ is perceived in a submissive attitude and a gaze to heaven, wanting to make it clear to his Holy Father, his tragic committed on earth, the other faces of the two romans, are injected with anger and hatred toward the innocent convicted.

A photography is available of the previously destroyed “anda”.

This “anda” only exits in the Procession of the Holy Burial and leads behind of “The Kiss of Judas” and in front of the Ecce-Homo.
